Tomorrow Taco Bell is celebrating the return of its breakfast menu with everyone’s favorite food giveaway.
The fast food company will be offering customers a free Toasted Breakfast Burrito at participating locations Oct. 21, from 7 to 11 a.m. local time while supplies last.
Taco Bell’s breakfast menu, first launched in March 2014, was put on pause in March 2020 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The complimentary burritos this week are part of a larger commemoration heralding the menu’s return to most Taco Bell locations.
The Toasted Breakfast Burrito menu includes the cheesy nacho cheese sauce and sausage option, the hash brown three-cheese blend and hash brown option, and the grande double scrambled eggs, potato bites and tomatoes option. The products usually retail for $1.29 to $2.89. The menu was expanded shortly before being put on pause last year.
To ensure fans don’t sleep through breakfast, Taco Bell is offering a free “Wake Up Call.” Simply text “Wake Up” to 1-866-WAKEUP3, to sign up to receive a pre-recorded wake up call from Taco Bell with a reminder that a free toasted breakfast burrito is waiting.
Need a little help waking up? Text “WAKE UP” to 866-WakeUp3 to get a wake up call on 10/21 reminding you to get a FREE Toasted Breakfast Burrito from 7-11am.

The chain is further bringing attention to its breakfast menu’s comeback with the publication of an illustrated bedtime story called “Sleep Tight, Get That Bite: A Taco Bell Bedtime Story for Adults.” The story is formatted as a 12-slide Google Docs presentation, available for free online HERE.
“Forget doomscrolling till bedtime, this story will have you wrapping yourself into a blanket burrito and visualizing bacon-y deliciousness to inspire a little shut-eye,” a bizarrely lyrical press release promotes. “After all, what adult couldn’t use a little more rest so they can enjoy a Toasted Breakfast Burrito in the morning? One burrito, two burrito, three burrito, four, this tale will have fans dreaming of that breakfast they’re gonna score.”
